Important PSA

varsyl:

Alright let me just get this straight,

You NEED to ask permission from the artist if they are comfortable with you recreating, editing, or reuploading your artwork.

If you haven’t asked yet? Then ASK.

DON’T DO IT WITHOUT ASKING.

When someone has a specific set of rules like:

“DO NOT EDIT, REUPLOAD, RECREATE OR CLAIM AS YOUR OWN!”

THEN YOU FOLLOW THOSE RULES

  • DON’T reupload their sketches, doodles, finished art or WIPs.
  • DON’T recreate

their sketches, doodles, finished art or WIPs.

  • DON’T claim their sketches, doodles, finished art or WIPs.

  • DON’T edit

their sketches, doodles, finished art or WIPs.

UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN PERMISSION, YOU DON’T BREAK THEIR RULES OF THEIR ART.

The only time any of this is okay is when YOU HAVE ASKED THEM DIRECTLY, AND THEY HAVE DIRECTLY GIVEN YOU FULL PERMISSION.

And when you HAVE been given permission, you don’t continue to do this because you were allowed to do it once. Before continuing you have to confirm you can do it from there on out, the artist will decide whether or not you are allowed.
