Okay so, I’m making this post out here for those who want to watch Doki Doki Literature Club and have Anxiety, Depression, Autism, etc.

therealnerdwithascreen:

Don’t. Especially if you’re easily triggered. Normally I’m not triggered by horror games (Yes, I get anxious like, oh fuck when’s it gonna go to shit) but this entire game is just a bunch of oh no, especially for those with mental illnesses or triggers. Along with the character with severe, untreated depression
Suicide, Hanging, Nooses, Glitches, Mild flashing, Depictions of gore, Jumpscares, Blood, Self harm/cutting, Child abuse, and Stalking, there’s so many sudden changes that can occur and upset people who dislike sudden change (it’s so easy for that game to go to shit and then snap back like nothing easy), Obsession, Chance of neck breaking, Darker themes that grow as the game progresses, increased paranoia from the characters (it projects easily into real life, especially from Monica), and much more. I know you might be mad ‘These are just spoilers!’ well yes and no. This is something you want to know. Because this game is layered so thickly in it’s horror it’s intense. There’s a variety of fucked up endings, easter eggs, etc, so please, please, please do not watch it even if you’re confident that you won’t get triggered. I can’t exactly stop you, but if you’re scared of getting triggered or anything listed above you are unsure about then do not watch doki doki literature club. Please share this so everyone can be aware of what one might actually be seeing if they want to invest their time into it.
