So remember that one time Yuuri decided his Eros was a pork cutlet bowl and Victor basically went out drinking all night to drown his sorrows?
Things that happened that night
(A list)
- Victor drank slightly more that he’d intended, because of course drowning sorrows is much more effective that way.
- A slighrly drunk version of Victor decided to call his lovely Swiss friend because “Christophe, what am I doing wrong????? I don’t understaaaaaaaand.”
- Chris admitted that he’d never tried to chase down a boy who was sexually attracted to food before and also pointed out that as far as Victor’s romantic interests go, this was definately a new low.
- However, he did leave the phone call with a promise to find help. And thus, twenty minutes or so later, after much internet stalking and a few called-in favors, Victor was texted a phone number along with the name Phichit Chulanont.
- And thus, at 1 pm Detroit time, 2 am Japan time, Phichit received a phone call from an unrecognized number. Phichit picked up of course because he’s a good human being. And of course he wasmet with the loud voice of a now-more-than-slightly-drunk Victor.
- “Phichiiiiiiiiiit,” the dramatic Russian voice said. “I need help.” And Phicht of course being an A+ level friend was ready to go. “Yeah ok what’s up, man, where do I need to be? And also like who is this?”
- To which the voice of course responded “Victor Nikiforovvvv” and Phichit just laughed. Like “You know you had me worried for a sec there, good job man. You win this round. Really though, who is this?”
- And thus a wonderful long conversation ensues in which drunk Victor attempted to convince Phichit that he was in fact the living legend of Russia and “no he’s not a complete stalker, the number came from Chris.”
- Phicht was of course very familiar with Christophe Giacometti and decided that it might be time to change his number and possibly the locks on his apartment door.
- But all that asside he ended up having a nice conversation with our lovely Russian tragedy and gave him some decent advice.
- He informed Victor that Yuuri is in fact an anxious mess and that anything too dramatic will probably end badly.
- He also pointed out though, that Yuuri wouldn’t like being blindsided. If he worked with Victor for the whole season only to realize his coach had ulterior motives the whole time, he wouldn’t be happy.
- In general, Phichit told him to stay relatively subtle, but also to make his intentions relatively clear. That way, when Yuuri was ready, he’d come.
- Victor decided this is probably good advice. Eventually he decided he should maybe get some sleep, and made his way back to the onsen.
- The next morning, everything was back to normal, except for the fact that “operation woo Yuuri Katsuki” was headed in a slightly better direction, and Phichit had followed Victor on Instagram.
