it’s a habit for victor to always greet makkachin first when he comes home. even though yuuri yuuri yuuri is the thing that pushes victor’s legs to walk faster – it’s just something he can’t change bc it’s always been this way and it’s impossible to stop, too, because makka is always the first to the door anyway. so victor stands by the shoe rack, accosted by his first sweetheart, and gives makkachin continuous kisses all over his fluffy head while they’re both waiting for yuuri’s head to stick out of the kitchen door and greet him with a smile. that’s a sign, and both victor and makka jump victor’s second sweetheart and kiss him a bunch in greeting too, even though makka has been home all this time and victor was gone for literally all of five minutes on an emergency grocery run
