multi-chapter fics are hard projects to tackle. they require hundreds of hours dedicated to planning, plotting, writing, editing and finalising. all of this is usually done alone – it’s lonely and hard.

hangups about abandoned works are valid, but the relationship between an author’s readerbase and their wordcount is obvious. investing that little bit of time to skim early chapters of a fic, kudo it, bookmark it for later, leave an excited comment about their progress. it all helps. it keeps us going.
